Dragonflies are sick! I once filmed one up close outside my window, sitting on my probe thermometer. It would quickly sally forth, grab a tiny bug, land, and immediately bite the preys head off! What was so great was this was during a period where dragonfly decorations were a fad. For example, a dining ware collection would have a dragonfly on each piece. Some people thought they were attractive and cute (based on their real life diminutive size). However, I imagined some afternoon tea conversation turning to, "Oh, did you know that dragonfly seen under your crumpet will tear the head off its prey and then it eat the whole thing, using its shearing mandibles, in under a minute?"
