Way cool but not surprising. Life seems to live in all the cracks in the rocks to great depth. Scientists just can't get the funding to get to that deep study this life. This shows that life likely continues to survive on Mars under the protection of the surface. One more thing, instead of saying the whole name of this volcano, Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai, just say HTH2. This way people unfamiliar with this story won't think you've started speaking in tongues.
