Elbrus (18,505ft or 5642m) - is the tallest Volcano in Eurasia, it is dormant, thus the statement above is factually incorrect. Elbrus "officially" erupted about 2000 years ago, but there is evidence of minor events in the recent past and it is known to have a magma chamber beneath it.
