New research finds that solar storms vary in strength over surprisingly short distances, and the current network of sensors may not be enough to properly prepare for future outbursts.

There are more 'Solar Storms' and the 'Northern lights' that follow, day after day in more southern latitudes, perhaps because the Magnetic Pole is wandering, this happens when Earth Magnetic Field changes polarity, a periodic event.
When Magnetic Field poles move upside down, for a while, strenght of Earth Magnetic Field is zero, lifting the FireWall for high energy radiation, that will fall on surface.
