Nowhere in the article above is "racism" invoked. You're looking for it, so you're seeing it, even when it isn't there. For some reason you're threatened by the idea, and I'll leave that for you to look within and question why that may be. As for actual science, and the reasoning behind these numbers and what's being reported; if you actually read the story from the state it came from (Oakland Press in this instance), you'll see no mention of racism there either; rather a mention that blacks in SE Michigan are disproportionately poor, and often have poor access to medical care and often have underlying chronic medical conditions.
