I'm pretty sure the author meant to say 380 thousand years
instead of 380 million years, at the beginnng of the article.
I haven't been able to find a link to notify authors or editors

Sorry, it would be 380 million years. In the cosmos beginnings, its never in terms of thousands of years. Later in the article, it mentions 400 million years, which would be accurate..
