Yes, I agree. I read that spinner article you posted. Due to greed and selfishness, mankind has done a horrible job as "caretakers of our planet" → not so much the average person, but the corporations and governments of this planet, who blame it on the general population, and not them. It's been proven, that we "do" have the technology to extract hydrogen and run cars on water to make our planet less polluted, but no, that wouldn't do for the oil companies who only care about money and power. Anyway, boaters should watch out for these defenseless sea creatures in question, and install prop guards on their boats. They can be bought anywhere. I fabricated one for my boat and it didn't cost me a cent. The boat is still fast, and I have never hit a mammal after years of navigating around them. (By the way, speaking of safety, NO Stainless Steel hooks for fish either) Anyway, the prohibition against interacting with sleeping spinner dolphins is cool too, for lack of sleep will stress any critter, particularly if they hunt to live. However, I can remember many times, more than I can count, when dolphins swam up to me/us when we were out surfing. They surf the waves right next to us with their heads sticking out of the curl, close enough to touch when they swam up close. They even surf parallel with the wave → just like us → I don't know if they copy us, or we them! They also must be able to sense vibes, and tell if certain people are good or bad too. But none of them (ZIP→ZERO)→ none of them are "Jerks"→ like that crazy Kiszka guy and the woman who wrote this article are attempting to claim! Name calling against dolphins is simply emotional idiocy without any basis in fact. There is no such thing as Dolphin, an Orca, or any sea creature, that is a "Jerk"→ Those intelligent beings are merely living in harmony with nature, unlike→ "civilized humans". In fact, the word "Jerk" would better be used in describing "people" who hold these aquatics to human standards. In conclusion, there have actually been people living on this planet who did live in harmony with nature. id est, Native Americans, and many of the island populations, who were were encroached upon, and even killed, by "civilized" people. Their lands were despoiled and laid waste as laws were made forcing them into subjugation. Who are the real jerks? And I wonder what I'd do if I lived in the water, and poison was dumped in it, as noisy "things" ran all over the surface and we were in danger of dying from the chemicals, nets, and lines? You know, being intelligent and all...
