US rivers are changing from blue to yellow and green, satellite images show

34 years is about the time it took the EPA and state epas(much stricter) to clean our streams and rivers. It took way too much time, and too much money, but our streams and rivers are the best they've been since colonial days. That's a huge reduction in toxic and organic loads. The US rivers have never been seen in their natural cycles from space. No natural base lines. The colors might even increase in the future.

When I was in elementary school, our city dumped raw sewage and industrial waste right into the river. The streams were full of sulfur(orange) from the mines. Now we have trout and bass.

But no mention of this in the article. This human action, probably had more effect on long term color, than anything else did.
