The article does not mention it, but does the book tell us why we would have evolved into beings with no hair and larger eyes? Once mankind figured out how to manipulate the environment many centuries ago, we have seen no major evolutionary changes in our forms. It is very easy to envision a man from the far distant future that looks pretty much the same as we do now. Environmental stress forces evolution, so it is unlikely that man would develop a huge brain and a sixth finger, in spite of many science fiction stories about those changes.
