King County, WA counts among the hardest hit on the West Coast. At one of three large downtown hospitals there are 8 Covid-19 patients with 4 on ventilators (140 in inventory). 30 of 40 operating rooms have been closed because there is no use. Many surgeons wish they could use them. According to my doctor the same situation exists at the other two hospitals. Why is this county at a high risk of insufficient capacity?
