This was a sad affair all the way around.

The story does note, and repeated here, that the Faulklands Islands are known to the Argentines as "The Malvinas".

And the story does not mention that the sinking of the Argentine Cruiser Belgrano took the lives of 323 with her.

Losses on both sides were most unfortunate, and totally illogical. Perhaps that is the entire nature of war, in the end.
