Abstract
If we look carefully at the path taken by geophysical scientists over the past 100 years, we see the sad result, which is that geophysics, as an exact science, has become a kind of coffee grounds guessing, built on mythical ideas about the Earth's crust and mantle. Figuratively speaking, we can safely say that the modern reasoning of geophysicists of the 21st century boils down to the fact that our Earth stands on three turtles or piglets and earthquakes are the result of the clumsy movements of these animals. And apparently, everyone believes in turtles and piglets, because the edifice of geophysics has never had and does not have a serious scientific foundation to this day. This situation is partly due to the fact that our knowledge of the internal structure of the Earth is limited by the geological facts obtained when drilling the Kola well 12 km deep, and what is deeper than this mark still remains a zone of assumptions for us. And what happens at a depth of hundreds of kilometers turns out to be for us in general a secret behind seven locks. But an even greater mystery for mankind is the question of why modern geophysics ossified at the level of the beginning of the 20th century and operates with the knowledge of that period, in every possible way ignoring the achievements of modern sciences?

Maybe I overdid it? What do you say, gentlemen geophysicists?

DEW??? No, I don't. Can you explain in a few words?

As I understand it, it is a new previously unexplored area study of chemical properties in a "deep earth water " environment.

OVERALL GOAL
To advance a vision of how fluids have linked the deep Earth and the near-surface environment through deep time.
Support for building the Deep Earth Water Community was provided by the Deep Carbon Observatory.
