Where is the Bat Woman now, Shi Zhengli, studying the viruses in bats at the Wuhan lab? 6 ft. below the ground & murdered? Were you able to interview her and her lab assistants? Then how can we put this to rest? Dead people can't talk no more

So let me see if I understand this:
The TOP institute in China - That is located next to the Market blamed but doesn't sell bats.
So far: Hasn't said anything to the world on how to fix an issue just outside their doors except:

China’s top virologist on bat-borne viruses, Shi Zhengli, has sworn on her life that the virus did not leak from her Wuhan lab, saying that its spread was “nature punishing the human race for keeping uncivilized living habits.”

and though the lab had the horseshoe bat species available for the virus, the in the wild bats are 600 miles away vs. the labs 900 feet from the Market and the Hospital with the first cases. If from the wild it should have originated in southern china.

The article cites reasons, as if irrefutable evidence, but when you read the sources of the footnotes it’s a lot of fluff. They know it’s not man made?? No they do not. Yet they drew conclusions of this from what they think is typical behavior. And simply because it is not typical, they abandon something that should be further investigatEd They didn’t address AI that targets all the things that people do not think to look at or typically do, and they did not allow themselves to consider the end purpose. They made gross assumptions using outdated biowarfare ”behavior”. Others who have commented seem to understand this. Two basic questions you always have to ask is “what isn’t being asked?” And “what isn’t being said.“ A lot of holes here, but there is another story out there that this author for reasons unknown, doesn’t want you to consider. . There are people out there labeling any opposing perspective as conspiracy yet, when articles like this began pouring out to squash the theory before anyone even raised the question. That should raise a flag.

Extremely misleading headline.
It is very doubtful that the virus was manmade.
What is not in question is that Wuhan has labs that study bats which is where this virus came from and data from lancelet proves this
What is not in question is that these labs have very lax security protocols.
What is not in question is that a lab in Wuhan created an outbreak of SARS because of poor safety measures.
What is not in question is that the Chinese government took down an article that exposed the utter foolishness of the Chinese government where a researcher had a bat urinate on him and he just washed it off, another researcher was cut by a bat and quarantined himself..... yes he quarantined himself. How many others have had incidents and never mentioned them for fear of losing their jobs.
Where is the overisight?

Gregor Mendel did not have a state of an art lab to manipulate the genes of peas. Could they not have just mixed up the blood of effected bats then stuck it in whatever animal they wanted and see what popped up. It seems like what bored grad student who studied such things would do. Like the one missing from the Wuhan lab.

Also spilt blood in the lab then ants then pangolin and then someone's dinner . "Spilled blood in Gregor's lab that's how you get ants" future quote from Archer

The title says that it did not "Escape" then you go on to "prove" it is not man made. You say one thing in the title and then go on to articulate something totally different in the article. The fact is that we KNOW that the lab in Wuhan was working with Corona viruses, as documented by numerous sources. In the age of fake news you should pay more attention to your content as someone might believe you have another agenda. This is supposed to be a Science Publication.

Claim: "Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus"

If your analyses so "clearly" show this, why is no supportable explanation given as to why you believe this statement to be true? It is not supported, but it is used to refute the evidence as well as the expert statements presented in the YouTube-blocked video. Experts include PhD Researcher, Judy Mikovits, a molecular biologist and former Director of the Lab of Antiviral Mechanism at the National Cancer Institute and Dr. Sean Lin ,former director of the Viral Disease Branch of Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). I would think both of these individuals deserve to be given a proper explanation as to why their statements are inaccurate.

Claim: "If scientists had deliberately engineered this virus, they wouldn't have chosen mutations that computer models suggest won't work."

That is a completely unsupportable assertion. Furthermore, it suggests that all potential bio-engineers are somehow incapable of being smarter than your obviously-ineffective computer models. All you've proven is that this highly effective virus failed to conform to the computer analysis.

"Another nail in the "escaped from evil lab" theory?"

This question is laden with biased language. It is designed to ridicule anyone who might consider the evidence presented in the YouTube-blocked video , and it fails to provide any substantive new information. Shame on you!

Claim: "If someone were seeking to engineer a new coronavirus as a pathogen, they would have constructed it from the backbone of a virus known to cause illness"

Again, a completely unsupportable assertion of faulty circular reasoning. You purport to know exactly how every bio-engineer would have "committed the crime" you say didn't happen--because it wasn't done the apparent only way you can imagine that it should have been done.

Claim: "In that possible scenario, the genetic features that make the new coronavirus so effective at infecting human cells (its pathogenic powers) would have been in place before hopping to humans."

This is apparently exactly what the aforementioned experts say is evidence of bio-engineering. They explained that this virus shares 100% amino acid similarity of TWO proteins (nsp7 and E) of a single bat coronavirus previously discovered by the Research Institute for Medicine of Nanjing Command (PLA). They contend that this is evidence of human interference rather than of natural evolution. Either you or they are wrong.

In the end, you made several baseless claims. Your work reminds me of the statement that Elon Musk made when he launched a Tesla into orbit, "You can tell it's real because it looks so fake." Nothing is gained by such a statement--other than to obfuscate the issue.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but your editorial skills haven't come close to proving that you're right.

To be fair there are a few things here. Number one, China is extremely densely populated whilst also having very close proximity to wildlife.
Whilst China is not the only country that has wet markets they are very plentiful and the key point is that they are mostly in very densely populated places. China is one of the few countries that has wet markets say 50 meters away from 5 star hotels or office buildings for example. This does mean that the jump is easier.
Historically China has also been the source for many diseases in the past again due to the abundance of wildlife within a close proximity to a huge amount of people. The fact that China is so verdant and so crowded makes it the perfect breeding ground for this.
Also, the wet markets in China are more unhygienic than any I have seen even compared to Africa where the population density is much lower in general. This lack of hygiene does mean that exposures are much higher potentially.

Have you traveled much throughout Asia? I am an Asian American who has traveled the globe far more than the average Jane by the way to feel you're a nice apologist for the CCP.

In light of new revelations and persistent investigative reporting, the "persistent myth" which "can be put to bed" is suddenly--and rightly--being taken seriously. It turns out that there are two legitimate ways to interpret the science, and one of them aligns with the other evidence. 30-40% of the earliest onset cases had no known connection, directly or indirectly, with Wuhan fish market. The Wuhan research lab had multiple red flags for dangerous virus-handling practices. The head of the lab had published papers on making SARS-like viruses human transmittable. The Chinese government scrubbed evidence and suppressed the speech of doctors and scientists who tried to speak out. The official story is unraveling.

Bioweapon labs have animals in them. A great deal of germ warfare research relies on studying the effects of various germs on animals in a controlled environment. It is completely feasible that it spread from a bat to a pangolin kept in a bioweapon lab. It is more feasible that it spread from a bat to a pangolin which was then used in China for human consumption. In either case something wrong was done in China (no surprise). The willingness to consume vermin (civets) resulted in the SARS outbreak and it would be no surprise if the willingness to consume an endangered species (pangolins) resulted in the COVID-19 pandemic.

How did your science prove that this CoVid19 did not originate in a lab?
Since as of last night seems to be that the Chinese scientist that tried to alert the world that it was from the level 4 bio lab (about 25 miles) outside of Wuhan, back in Dec 'disappeared' then died from CoVid19.
So what 'science' do you guys use???????

Yeah it looks legit and it is good to see. I'm almost ready to take the tinfoil off. 😁 However, is it not possible that it could still be engineered but made not to look engineered?

On LSE article it starts with the title:
"The coronavirus did not escape from a lab. Here's how we know."
It is not very scientific to claim to know something when most of the facts about its origins are not known and, there are other eminent scientific people who say otherwise.

Very interesting especially considering...

The severity of this has been felt on a global scale and human souls have had to perish because of it. That is terrible and families have been devastated. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have had to suffer in one way or another. While addressing the immediate need of slow the spread or "flattening the curve" has proven to be needed to help countless of others from suffering where the Sars-Cov2 originated and/or how should rightfully take a back seat to our efforts to fight the Sars-Cov2. As reported by CNN and many other news outlets yesterday, the US has several agencies looking into all possibilities as to where the Sars-Cov2 originated, including potential labs.

Here's the article:

https://www.cnn.com/.../us-intelligence.../index.html...

Additionally, since I had so much unexpected time on my hands, I have been for the past few weeks doing my own research and studies. Here is just one of the articles I researched. It just so happens to be a level 4 Lab, Chinese Academy of Science, Institute of Virology in Wuhan. Within 20 miles of the wet market. This is an article published back in 2015. Pay close attention to what they say about:

"The results indicate that group 2b viruses encoding the SHC014 spike in a wild-type backbone can efficiently use multiple orthologs of the SARS receptor human angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2), replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers equivalent to epidemic strains of SARS-CoV.".

Here's the link:

https://www.nature.com/articles/nm.3985#change-history

While I am not personally a "conspiracy theories" kind of person and while I realize oftentimes people like to come up with conspiracy theories to satisfy all types of emotional and psychological reasoning ie: lack of taking responsibility, the ability to blame others for their circumstances, to justify certain behaviors and the such just to paint themselves as a "victim". Some things should be carefully scrutinized and the truth should be sought out.

It really appears that this article is a disinformation campaign to cloud the truth, which is that the government of China is in the bio-weapon business.

This article is a disgrace, and is intended to malign anyone who doesn't conform to LiveScience's CCP approved message as 'conspiracy mongers'.

We know the US government was concerned about security at the Wuhan lab since early 2018.

We know the Wuhan lab was doing research on the horseshoe bat.

We know the horseshoe bat is the most likely origination of the coronavirus.

We know the horseshoe bat is not indigenous to Wuhan (900km away).

We know CHINESE researchers from the South China University of Technology reported in February 2020 that the coronavirus most likely came from one of two labs in Wuhan.

We also know the US government is now actively investigating the likelihood of the virus originating in a Wuhan lab.

The only real question is what is Live Science's motivation for this disinformation.

Hello, thank you for your research and the links.

"We know the US government was concerned about security at the Wuhan lab since early 2018."

The US actual was actually worried long before that. Here you go:
"In October 2014, the US government imposed a moratorium on federal funding of such research on the viruses that cause SARS, influenza and MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome, a deadly disease caused by a virus that sporadically jumps from camels to people). " Here is the link:

This article is misleading. Most viruses held in labs are not genetically engineered and originate from natural sources. Just because this virus isn’t genetically modified does not mean the pandemic did not originate from a lab accident. I doubt we’ll ever know the truth, but the fact is, an accidental release from a lab is still plausible especially given the poor laboratory practices in China, notably selling carcasses of lab animals for consumption (!!!).

People simply do not want to believe this is possible, hence articles like this. Not exactly scientifically rigorous.
Who needs nuclear wea[ons when you have germ warfare! It was intentional. We have devious political corrupt leaders worldwide. Wagers?

I still will observe and wait for more information. The fact that Wuhan has a level 4 lab in place (known since the 80s) is still troubling imho. Maybe they just had the virus intact as is and were studying it. Seems coincidental to me. But hey you guys are scientists, and you're always right. And propaganda doesn't exist. Stay calm sheep.
I agree. The outbreak was from the market "they say" in mid/late Dec, and this outbreak only came to light because they can no longer hid it, so how do you know the actual time when this virus appeared. Anyways where is Dr. Ai Fen who was warned before this whole thing started before the whistle blower? If its natural mutation due to structures of the back bone, I need clarity, Rna modification synthesis process can happen right? We do that for our mRNA synthesis but it have a short life span. So with the right slicing in the strain, it can mutateinstead of doing on the back bone, before the S strand was 30% and L strand was 70% and because of human intervention the number is changing. Sound's a like a short life spand. Besides China CDC with held all their data til early march, so sad that all these Doc and Scientist trying to figure out what are they are dealing with, people are dying faster than they can keep up. Data for 4th is no longer irrelevant, thats why we are finding out more than before of this down play virus. Now that this virus have travel all over the world, why is that now young healthy adults in their 20s are dying and a teen the other day?
