Question Question on Safely handling groceries

I see that multiple sources are saying that as long as you keep your hands washed, you dont need to wipe down packages and items you get from grocery stores. How true is this? And does this account for someone potentially coughing on the package?

According to this handy info from Cleveland Clinic, there isn't a ton of evidence to support constantly wiping down and disinfecting your groceries. Honestly, if it makes you feel better to wipe them down, no harm done.

There is no evidence that you can pick up the virus from packages.
Is there evidence that you cannot pick up the virus from packages?
The two are not the same thing. The first statement is useless.
