It is always great to hear from an old friend, as long as they are not asking for money. Happily, Voyager 2 doesn't need any money!

But it could use a new set of RTGs. That power unit is going to be permanently out soon. At launch (1977), it was estimated to last until 2020, which is now. Hopefully NASA has underestimated its capabilities like so many things, and we will continue to hear from it for years to come.
