It sounds to me as if the crocodile killer, besides for being a very sick person, might have a personal grudge against the tour operator. They might be doing this to taunt and mentally abuse him. If that's the case, maybe there is a chance of finding the killer.

My first thought was, how? How did one or two people carve up a crocodile in that manner? Wouldn't the Croc have to be shot first? How disturbed the man must have been to do such a thing.
