To my mind the earthquakes will increase as the time pass. As per me it is due to thinning of layer of earth crust due to removal of mountain as excavation of minerals.

Just because globally a hum is being heard, that doesn't mean it's from the same source....Case in point....Here in East England, Environmental Heath officers have tracked a regional hum to water purifiers at our regional Water Company (Anglia Water) and is an on going investigation....This article is misleading and shoddy.

You can sleep assured that the crust may be rearranged slightly by mining but none is actually gone due to the conservation of mass/energy law. The crust is growing by 40,000 tons of space dust each year.

This tectonic explanation (and its map as in Origin of mystery humming noises heard around the world, uncovered) does not seem to correlate well the actual humming map (The World Hum Map) so it is likely to be only a partial explanation.
