Metal detectorist unearths largest Anglo-Saxon treasure hoard ever discovered in England

So in ~600ce some overtaxed, hard working, obviously unmarried, Anglo-Saxon buried his gold retirement funds to prevent what then passed for government from getting "their fair share". Not surprisingly, ~1500 years later the government is "fair sharing" the entire "funds" in the name of historical interest. Thus, we share an economic link with that hapless Anglo-Saxon of ~600ce, i.e.: seeing our money in the hands of government. But at least this gold can be wishfully visited.
