So you're making this big dramatic assertion that no law exists to grant people the right to own human remains. And trying to imply this means it's some shady illegal thing. Just like you're implying because these sellers didn't give a full history of where they got stuff it must be shady. But there's no specific law that grants people the right to own lots of thing, and you don't need to give a full back story on anything else you sell for it not to be suspicious, so both those comments in this article are just an attempt to sensationalize the situation. "But it's not specified as being legal in law" so what? As long as its not specified as illegal it's legal. A quick google showed that only one state outlaws the ownership of human remains and 2 or 3 others don't permit the import or export of them outside state lines, but other than that it's perfectly legal as long as they were legally obtained. Obviously looting and grave robbing are morally wrong. But going on about the wishes of dead people being disrespected when science does all sorts of unsanctioned testes on human remains, and archaeologists dig up and remove thousands of people who didn't give consent to be put in a museum or some other institutions, that's just hypocrisy. And as for the whole "private individuals shouldn't have these things only us scientists and archaeologists" that's elitist hypocrisy. Yes, deal with illegal activities. But don't have one rule for ordinary people and another for you scientific elites. Whats even worse is that the ex medical stuff you're saying wasn't donated to science to end up in private hands was clearly sold into private hands by the organisations these people donated their bodies too. If not then they wouldn't be for sale privately. More hypocrisy by you elites. I don't care if it's creepy and weird, if these people aren't breaking the law and aren't hurting anyone leave them alone to exercise their rights.
