When the "end" of the Pleistocene was declared, I wonder if it occurred prior to understanding of the 2.6 million years of ice cycle. If so, I can see why the error was made to declare it over ... but now that we grasp the huge 100-year cycles, the error should be corrected. Until the ice cycles end, it is still the Pleistocene, and this is just an expected interglacial, due to end any minute.
