I liked her very first book called "Copiers in the Hall" The study of habits of people who uses copiers placed in hallways.

Loads of common sense arguments in that piece but how on earth do you influence the Chinese government who are at the heart of the problem?
Yes, the Chinese are a big problem (I spent over 2 months there in several places and will NOT return). However, the U.S. is also a huge issue in this. We are energy and material hogs who cause a lot of damage in other parts of the world so that they can feed our desires. Each U.S. citizen uses far more material and energy than theirs do.

You seemed to have glossed over the fact that our factory farming methods are just as bad as a the markets in Asia so it has happened and it will happen again, that a disease will start here. Hell what is the leading cause of death in the US. Heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer diabetes. So it would be hard for a virus to catch up to that death toll but not impossible.
