You and your cohorts who believe this is a SIMPLE SILLY VIRUS just because we have up to date media to cover it are in denial. I think people who are so cynical and don't believe this is very real and very different should be forcefully taken to go onboard these cruise liners and help out....you know...since it's all pretend and all.

Thanks Lisa Yeah I think my mum is over freaked out -until I hear on the news at home in the UK that the virus has spread to the town which I live in which is Middleton (North Manchester UK) Im not wearing masks or latex gloves - I'm leaving tht sort of thing to dentists/hygenists
Sadly:
"Salford in Greater Manchester has one of the highest coronavirus death rates in the country, with 174 deaths as of Friday, amounting to 93 for every 100,000 people. "
Yes, odds are low of dying of it but isn't it the responsible thing to do to protect the elderly and vulnerable ?

What is your definition of serious? The self-appointed "authorities" admitted to lying...
For me it is taking personal responsibility i.e. I would not use an official's lies as reason to go to a public area with symptoms. Nor would I stop washing my hands if scientists were unable to agree on the effectiveness and so on...

The only reason this virus is causing a lot of trouble is because, it's got a name, it's traceable and you see big coloured pictures of it on the television. 50 years ago it would just be called a cough and that would be the end of it, and no one would panic.
I reckon the trouble is the number of patients filling hospitals compared to typical and the higher than normal deaths.
50 years ago there wasnt the number of elderly we see today and I am sure that 50 years ago if large numbers of elderly were dying compared to usual the people of that era would not pass it off as just a cough.

Hello all,

Today is March 09, 2020 and1:48 PM in the US and this in follow-up to the Coronavirus statistics being shared.

I for one am not a conspiracist, but I strongly believe this needs to be said because so many are thinking it!
This IS NOT intended to cause a panic or mass hysteria, it is only to provide my take on what many including myself believe, that the Coronavirus was developed, staged and is now being spread globally as an intentional act by the so called "New World Order", and therefore no Anti-virus will come to eradicate it before scores of millions infected PERISH!
Coronavirus existed before humans and has been very well known for over 50 years... There are far better viruses out there to achieve what you are suggesting.
If you wish to narrow down your conspiracy more, then it looks like the NWO are targetting over 60s in developed worlds where Winter temperatures are around 1degC and where the populations are likely to ignore common sense. This is a very narrow section and would not cover the 1billion that you suggest.

@LisaSummit2 is imho making a good point. Children also have weaker immune systems, so if "its not that hard to understand" and just a case of immune system weakness then children would be getting it and dying too.
This link helps explain, and particularly Point 4-

I guess in a simple explanation, if the young were as vulnerable as the elderly then there would be no humans on the planet as they would never make it to adulthood.

Yes, the Greeks knew about the chimera. They are the ones that devised a cure or attempted to at least. It is the same one that the CDC wanted to use on the West Nile Virus when it came to this country a decade ago.

How will the coronavirus outbreak end? It will depend on how lasting immunization we will get from the vaccination.
If it will last for a lifetime (e.g. Measles ) it will be over as soon as we are vaccinated. If the immunity will be good for e.g. one week
it will be with us forever. As far as I know, the immunity duration is still unknown.

an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year. thing is do we calculate that from when the virus first appeared in China or when it was first discovered in the U.S. since it is worldwide, my guess would be when the virus appeared in China. that would be around December 2019. calculate from that point. a good scientific guess would be that the virus ends sometime in early February 2021. but who am I? certainly not a scientist.

With climate change, virus and plant life will thrive; however, humans will die. The heat will mutate Covid19, other deadly viruses will rise.

My hypothesis, viruses will kill us before warm heat kills us. The only way to stop Covid19 from mutating is to cool down earth. To cool down earth we need to use "nuclear power transportation", which grabs CO2 out of the air and converts it into cold air.

As with all past outbreaks, this one will eventually come to an end.

How will the coronavirus outbreak end? : Read more
I disagree. Climate change plays a huge factor. As the planet's overall temperature rises, new viruses will emerge and old ones will mutate.

I think you have it backwards. Normal germs and virus do not live in an acid envoronment. A big glass of orange juice is ACID. Apples are ACID. Drink your orange juice or eat an apple, get the body ACID to fight germs.
A new scientific study that can be reproduced and create the same results each time. Put cancer in an alkaline environment and acidic environment. Every time the cancer cells die in alkaline and thrive in acidic.

However, this is for cancer and not virus. If you have cancer, do not eat fruit; instead stay away from acidic foods and drink alkaline water.

If the American Givernment had taken the disease seriously then there would have been less deaths...

Had the Brazilian president not been a conspiracy theorist then more lives would have been saved...

Personally I would sue America for letting it run rampant and giving a message it will just.... disappear.

I'm afraid this has nothing to do with my response regarding sarajo's post about China.

I would add you appear to display no knowledge on how a coronavirus works with immunity.
You cannot vaccine your way out of an animal virus.

Social distancing was to stop natural herd immunity.
Hence Sweden leading the way globally, as their epidemiologist said they would..

This site is not to discuss politics although there is often a close overlap...

I would say the management of coronavirus in America was the issue... Other countries took different approaches to containing the virus with varying rates of success....

"In February, when the federal government had confirmed just 15 cases of the virus, Mr. Trump predicted the number would soon be near "zero." "

The American administration didn't see it as a problem, so why are you?

You cannot get convid more than once
Interested on your source, here is confirmation that you can be reinfected.

There is this initial paper which reviews a period of 3/ 4 months.

A further review which is based on viruses of a similar nature.

"The research, which appears in The Lancet Microbe, shows that unvaccinated people can expect immunity against reinfection to last 3–61 months after developing COVID-19 — if the virus is still circulating in the community. "

The original title of this thread is "How will the coronavirus outbreak end?"; I look at the cases increasing in Europe, the reasonably poor take-up of vaccines and I assume a less enthusiastic uptake on boosters....

I do not think the coronavirus outbreak will end.

Virtually everyone I speak to in person says they have had it (recalling a bad cold, flu symptoms etc... over the last 2.5, yes 2.5 years) yet positive tests are increasing.

I assume the virus will just circumvent the globe relentlessly, picking off more people that influenza whilst crippling economies.

I wish I could go into the politics, economy and freedom of choice on this but this forum is not the place.

Stay safe people, my booster is booked in here.

When will Africa get it? The last I read, they had 6% vaccinated. Nobody knows why.
There are plenty of good cases why including:

The virus affects the elderly worst, but Africa is a relatively young population.
They have experience of diseases such as ebola and have processes for quick implementation of lockdowns.
The weather is less likely to cause people to congregate indoors for favorable transmission.
