"After the Apollo program ended in 1972, NASA took a break from human spaceflight for nearly a decade, not launching another crewed vehicle until the early 1980s."

Umm, how about three launches to the Skylab space station in 1973 and 1974, and the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project flight in the summer of 1975? They may not be as famous as the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, but is the author really not even aware of these manned NASA missions? It's disappointing that such a profoundly ignorant statement could survive a proofreading of this article, and suggests there was no proofreading.

The first woman to ever enter space was Valentina Tereshkova. She flew in 1963, but it was not until the 1980s that another woman entered space again.
