The accounting of the existing amount of data likely does not take into account an incredible amount of duplication, and centralized access would dramatically reduce the total quantity.

An interesting Thought Experiment but with the acceleration of the World's Sixth Mass Extinction to its inevitable conclusion - possibly within single digit years . . the weight of data on the planet is not really an issue . .
