I think it's jibber jabber. But there is a reason for this push, and it's not what our federal agencies or our media is telling you. History is all you need. Several years back, many politicians and BIG money groups, realized the huge public demand for legalized pot. This was not because the public smokes pot. But they were tired of seeing people put in jail for it, or having a criminal record for it. And it did help people with certain medical conditions. The medical aspect was their path....into legalization. Make the government a partner.
Very large amounts of money, for growing, and retailing, under state regulation and taxes, and the big expected profits, made the price ridiculous, compared to black market pot. They forgot the competition. The legal pot industry is in big trouble. Lots of politicians and big companies have heavy investments.
And on top of this situation, BREAKING NEWS. Some nerds(who got tired of high legal pot prices) have found a cheap way to produce THC from CBD. Apparently, adding a solvent and a little heat is all it takes. They call it synthetic THC. Quality and strength is easy maintained and controlled. THC from any hemp plant. Kentucky and other US regions(Michigan) have produced hemp for decades.
This is a direct threat to the legal pot industries......and the money and politics behind it. Taxes and regulation.
CBD is bad for you. Only organically matured and configured THC is safe.
It's political marketing. Like drug recommendations and treatment guidelines have become. The bureaucrats and insiders are becoming super rich.
Observations from a chronic pain patient's view. It appears to me that if a lot of people don't get very rich......the answer is no.
