Planet 9 is where the yetis come from... and where Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny live...

Sometimes modern science just step back into medieval religion!

"What's more, it's hard to square the existence of a ninth planet with the formation of the solar system as we currently understand it. "

Since many models of the Jupiter-Saturn resonance that sculpted our system gives an ejected gas giant to better fit observations, it isn't much of a stretch.

I don't see that, but rather pseudosciences like "cryptozoology" where the yeti lives come close.

How do you get from sound science hypotheses to inject superstition like yeti and religion into the analysis? Maybe it is you who steps into it?

Me? What kind os stupidity is that?
Planet 9 is a wanna-be answer for a wanna-be phenomena... it is closer to faith than to science...

Oh, so you can't see the difference.

Well, this scientific hypothesis has been published in peer review many times, and every time they add more trans-neptunian objects its likelihood has gone up. Here is a recent interview: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S037015731930047X?via=ihub .

As for how science and peer review publication works, see e.g here and its links: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_literature .

As for what superstition is, see e.g. here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief .

I hope that helps - if you start out from scratch it can several years to learn critical thinking.

Your faith in science that dont let you distinct good from bad science is pathetic... you must be from that research team that spent 2 years to discover that an alien signal was a microwave malfunction in kitchen...

Faith in science is not much different than faith in God... if you do not challenge the information (with or without peer review)... it is easier to go to the church...

Planet 9 is a wanna-be scifi... the evidence is weak to a pathetic theory... it just serves for publicit among people not very well educated and to grab funding from institutions that want publicity...
