I am Ernst and I found this article to be very interesting. Thank Google News for displaying Edd's article in my feed.
I am a hobbyist that has experience with bit level encoding.
I wrote about Dynamic Unary Encoding on arXiv.org and I have a few other bit level encryption systems I have not published.
I joined this site in response to an article by Edd Gent of DARPA takes step toward 'holy grail of encryption'
I may have important ideas to share that may help.

Dynamic Unary actually generates mathematical objects (like numbers are) by partitioning n-bit into disjoint cycles.
So, I just thought to reach out and say I may have excellent contributions to make in this effort to make data more secure.
