I've been pushing this idea on multiple sites. Spacetime causes the speed limit of light ..otherwise, it doesn't have one. The universe is only expanding in cosmic voids. The Local Group of galaxies do not expand.

If e=MC (squared), Isn't dark matter equal to all the missing mass from the big bang? By that, I mean that all the energy floating around (and expanding) the universe (including light, gamma, and other radiations) all part of the (so-called) dark matter? John T.

E=MC squared the inverse would be E=-MC squared. Dark matter is the inverse of E=MC squared. Time is T=(S+v) , gravity has nothing to do with time. Time is a weak force in particle physics you have what are called the W's and Z particles. You have a +W then you have a -W and then you have the Z particles. Z particles have 0 mass, 0 spin, 0 energy. Time is at rest 0 mass until Space fills with other mass and gains velocity (S+v) in when gravity takes hold. g =GM/r squared .
