Um sorry this is not correct at all. According to the CDC this is the top causes of death
Number of deaths for leading causes of death:
Heart disease: 647,457. Cancer: 599,108. Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936. Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201.
That's just not true. There are very specific guidelines. And it appears to be up to the medical professionals to determine the cause of death. Obviously, having symptoms similar to the virus would raise a flag.FALSE AND MISLEADING.

"Deaths: Final Data for 2017"
Talk about not doing research. You're using numbers from 2017. Thank you for the laugh.
Okay. No, it didn't and will not overtake heart disease or cancer. Heart disease and cancer data is taken over the course of a year. We have lost 320,000 people to these diseases this year alone!! 840,000 died from heart disease alone in 2016. What was the peak daily death count of heart disease last year? This article doesn't say. Cancer? Doesn't say. This is literally the WORST kind of reporting out there. "COVID 19 is now the leading cause of death in the U.S., not by a longshot. Laura Geggel, you need to be terminated from any position related to reporting immediately, heck resign, recuse yourself indefinitely, you ARE part of the problem and should walk around with your head down in shame for falsely reporting such things.
Which are referencing 2017 and 2018 numbers, as I said. It doesn't matter when the article was written. You really need to read the actual article.I used this source: CDC and Johns Hopkins 3/22/2020 3:30 p.m. So sorry your still wrong.
2,402,076 cases and 165,106 deaths gives you the mortality rate. Though we know both numbers are way off because of a few countries that absolutely would hide their true numbers.129100 is 0.0016551282051282% of 7800000000 the world population, while it has taken lives it is not even near 1% of the population and the recovery rate is clearly still in the 97 to 99 percentile so it is a very sad pandemic and is clear why it is not the leading cause of death.
Yea considering every death is covid19. Hit by a truck? Yep, covid. Amazing in 2020 nobody is dying of natural causes. This article is complete junk.Just last week, COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death.

COVID-19 is not the leading cause of death. But don't counter this article with old data.
We have no idea what the numbers are yet. It appears they will be skewed, as many doctors have mentioned, because of the virus.

Literally no one would ever take the number of deceased from something like this and compare it to the world population. That makes absolutely no sense.
No you are not the only one I gave stats and cited sources, the coronavirus is not the leading cause of death in the US, CDC says "There are no data to support that theory,"False claims declaring that coronavirus has become the leading cause of death in the US have swirled as the US leads the world in coronavirus cases. Those claims are made by some experts comparing how many people die of coronavirus daily with the estimate of how many people may die daily on average of each leading cause of death, using CDC data. But we do know by looking at the death totals the two leading causes of death in the U.S., Heart Disease and Cancer, there is no way that at this point COVID-19 comes anywhere close to those totals," Lancashire said.We are all putting he/she down and this is not right. If I am wrong please correct me, but I do believe that i'm the only one saying something about this. This article is, yes, very wrong, and you should do more research before you start writing. But this does not give anyone the right to be a jerk. I'm not saying you can't feel a certain way about it. Feel however you want about it. But please, please do it nicely. - A 13 year old girl.
You misunderstand, you did not offend me , I was just pointing out you weren't the only one. Wow, I wonder why my first response has the letters so big. We are good ok?When I said "I do believe I am the only one saying something about this" I meant as in being nice. Not as in the information, and I'm not saying your wrong. I know how I sound, i'm 13 and 'I know nothing' i'm just trying to help and support. I'm sorry if I made you upset in any way, I just didn't like how everyone was treating her. I had to say something.
