I think this absolutely would work. We need to do a little more social engineering to get public buy-in:
  • We should remove the stigma from people who contract the disease and test positive. Appeal to people for the greater good
  • The app should have an interactive element that checks and tracks people daily health (likely using AI). It would suggest ways to improve immune health, check on worsening of symptoms and recovery
  • Feed into national data to support the national recovery - it would be better served if we were to direct any cure/vaccines (that will be in limited supply in first production) to those most vulnerable before those who are healthy or managing.
  • Offer health and wellness coupons and subsidies
If people were enticed by benefits then they would overwhelmingly signup
