Right, But everyone is ripping him for that slip up, when he clearly was saying anyone who NEEDs a test gets a test. Anyone who actually understood and listened to this knew exactly what he meant. Actually, I probably shouldn't say that because some folks earlier claimed to listen to it and still thought he said "Wants" in every instance. This is just a small sample of what the media has been doing to him his entire presidency. Just a little eye opener...Thats all.x try
But even at -Anyone who “needs” one is a lie! When doctors were requesting it after their patients showed symptoms and tested negative for the flu, they were denied! So even if you want to spin it to a “slip up” it was all still a lie! Also, if it was a “slip up” as you claim, and millions of Americans heard “want” why not put out a retraction.

"Anyone who wants a test can get a test." This article is a flat out lie. That's not what he said. Science indeed.

Not Fox, but video nonetheless.

In any case, even if you equivocate on the quote, inferring from that that the whole article, and therefore the reported incident rate of coronavirus, is a 'flat out lie' is a little too much. Sad.

'Needs' is more urgent than 'wants', but the tests are still not satisfying that demand. Attempt to sabotage the testing system to keep the reported numbers low? Sad.

responding to those people who use that "you can keep your doctor" quote:

The ACA saved my brother's life. Not only did he KEEP his doctor, he got MORE doctors (specialists), affordable insurance for him and his family, affordable medication and he is on the mend. He gets better every day.

The ACA isn't perfect but it's a first step toward Universal Healthcare. President Obama did not lie. He just can not control every State and how they may choose to run things. Fortunately, my brother lives in a State that takes all the features and rules of the Affordable Care Act and uses it to HELP people with their health care.

In context POTUS was talking about the states receiving test kits from the CDC. However, many states were not going to receive test kits until their own state health departments approved of them. That is what happened so the media twisted the original comments from POTUS around to say he said any individual who wants a test can have one and that is not what POTUS said.

Folks, please refrain from partisan political commentary and rhetoric.
We know there's a fuzzy grey line here, and that global politics are inextricably bound with the Covid-19 issues, so we still do welcome rational, non-partisan observations.

"In Washington, which has the highest number of cases in the U.S., Gov. Jay Inslee banned gatherings of more than 250 people." This is a ridiculous rule. In the state that is the epicenter of this outbreak in the U.S., you can have 249 people gather as a group and introduce community spread among this large group? Here in Arizona, when I go out cycling, as was the case yesterday, I passed at least a half dozen cars from Washington State and a couple more from Oregon. That means that transmission from a highly contagious part of the country can be accommodated by these people who are flocking to the Phoenix area. There should be some type of travel bans for the next few weeks, even inter-state, to reduce the risk of taking the virus from highly-saturated areas to less saturated areas of the country.

The availability of tests seems to becoming rapidly a non-issue.

Based on wording in the article title "Abbott Receives FDA Emergency Use Authorization and Launches Test to Detect Novel Coronavirus", it seems the hold up was regulatory approval. The article goes on to day they plan on having a million test kits released by the end of this month and have production in the millions per month thereafter.

This is a curious conversation. Here in Colorado anyone who wants to be tested can be, so says the Gov. The state has at least one mobile lab for testing and the local medical labs will run the test. This may require going through some protocol, such as getting a referral or waiting until a test is available, or getting to a facility that can conduct the test, but according to our media, in Colorado the President's comments appear to be true.
Has anyone actually gone out to be tested and told they cannot be? Has anyone been deferred because they do not fit the criteria for testing at this time, for example they have influenza A not COVID-19? Bickering in the hypothetical realm really accomplishes nothing.

Here is an interesting tweet (with some follow up. In a twitter discussion with Elon Musk over the use of Azithromycin with Hydroxychloroquine. Ends up in a dialog between Musk and the author of a study that Musk posted.

View: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1240013889363824640

It is a lengthy thread so you will have to open it and read it. But on March 18, the study author posts the following:

UPDATE: Full peer reviewed study has been released by Didier Raoult MD, PhD

https://drive.google.com/file/d/186Bel9RqfsmEx55FDum4xY_IlWSHnGbj/view?usp=sharing….

After 6 days 100% of patients treated with HCQ + Azithromycin were virologically cured

p-value <.0001

I believe this is the treatment that our president has been working with the FDA to get totally fast tracked. If this works out, it is huge. Both of these drugs are in mass production, both are total generics (completely patent protection free) and could become globally available at low cost within weeks, if approved.

In Illinois there are no tests for anyone unless u meet the cdc requirements. I went to er was sent home and told to buy some mucinex dm and a script for an inhaler. I was told. I haven't been out of the county nor been near anyone out of the county. I said how do u know that? I've been in Wal-Mart numerous times. So if u meet that criteria and show every symptom to the extreme of the virus then they'll call CDC and get an approval to take blood and send it away to be tested. That's a 3 day wait for results.

Some days ago I wanted to buy a mask for myself in pharmacy. But it was too late all the masks was sold.I watched a video on YouTube
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3Y4CVoUcdw
and decided to sew mask for myself. The step by step instruction is very easy and everyone can sew the mask. Actually mask will not protect you from coronavirus, but will keep you from touching your nose, eyes, mouth

Chance upon this website, which i think is quite useful. Basically they consolidate covid-19 news from all over the world and also share interesting and funny videos. The global coronavirus live counter is also quite accurate too.

"Anyone who wants a test can get a test." This article is a flat out lie. That's not what he said. Science indeed.
He certainly did say it. Four times. During a visit to the CDC on March 6.

You can hear him say it at
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndojafDR2fI&t=1h29m49s
and then again at 1:30:39.

Or if you'd rather read the official White House transcript

THE PRESIDENT: Anybody that wants a test can get a test. That’s what the bottom line is.

and later in the same visit:

THE PRESIDENT: But — but I think — I think, importantly: Anybody right now and yesterday — anybody that needs a test gets a test. We — they’re there. They have the tests. And the tests are beautiful. Anybody that needs a test gets a test.

If there’s a doctor that wants to test, if there’s somebody coming off a ship — like the big monster ship that’s out there right now, which, you know — again, that’s a big decision. Do I want to bring all those people on? People would like me to do that. I don’t like the idea of doing it.

But anybody that needs a test can have a test. They’re all set. They have them out there.

In addition to that, they’re making millions of more as we speak. But as of right now and yesterday, anybody that needs a test — that’s the important thing — and the tests are all perfect, like the letter was perfect.
