That makes sense considering Nubia was once part of the Oriental Orthodox Church and we tattoo ourselves (at least Copts do) with the cross. It's mostly on the right wrist.

I think this tattoo is a little unusual, since it appears that this one has something extra jutting from the top. Possibly to symbolize a sword for some reason?
