"Incorrect"? Maybe not. The early christians made it a practice to "borrow" prayers from other religions. The first Christian liturgies were actually borrowed from the roman pagans. They crossed out "Jupiter " and wrote in "Jesus Christ". Same thing prolly happened here. Today's Catholic church still uses old Jupiter prayers with changed names.

The Psalms, of course, were written in HEBREW and collected a thousand years before Christ. Some might have been borrowed, as you say, from other cultures. Roman Mythology was taken from the Greeks and began in Rome around 750 BC. So... The Psalms came FIRST... Christianity Developed in the Syrian Region in the First Century... It was Illegal in Rome until 313 AD but the Romans tried to put a stranglehold on it thereafter...
