When she says, "This proves that "we" were here thousands of years before Europeans" who does she mean by"we"? Is there an unbroken line of descent from those doing the cave paintings in 700 BC and Puerto Ricans today? Couldn't the paintings have been done by a completely different group of people who subsequently left the island? Aren't Puerto Ricans equally descended from Europeans and indigenous people?

Yes you are right but after 75 years of so many living in NYC and being taught to value vitimhood they now only recognize the Taino heritage and describe the European half as the oppressor despite the poor match with actual history which showed a gradual merger of the two main lines with the Taino persisting in the mountains until they completely commingled with the Europeans and effectively disappeared as a distinct group sometimes in the 19th.
