2019 Nobel Prize: Lithium-Ion Battery

I was surprised to hear that the 2019 Nobel Prize for Chemistry was awarded to the scientists who developed the Lithium-Ion battery, because they've been around for some time. I didn't realize how much actually went into researching this amazing innovation since the 80s, and I guess I'm getting old, because they'be been commercially available since 1991. (!)

I'm glad they finally got their much-deserved award. The value of rechargeables is immeasurable in my eyes.
