James Webb telescope confirms there is something seriously wrong with our understanding of the universe

This makes the most sense to me! As occupants of a simulation, we would be 'inside the fishbowl' so to speak, with a limited view of what is really happening. IF it is really happening.

Why do people dissociate during traumatic events?

I have dissociative disorder, and it is a painful and disabling condition. But it certainly saved my life on a number of occasions. By going into a trance state, my body was able to slow bleeding and intensify healing of injuries. By blocking some of my most painful memories, my mind allowed me...

Collapse of the West Antarctic ice sheet is 'unavoidable,' study finds

Well, there we have it. The waters will rise. But what will humans do about it? So far, they keep trying to rebuild in the coastal areas and other lowlands. It's time to start moving to higher ground!

Orcas are learning terrifying new behaviors. Are they getting smarter?

Could the Orcas be suffering mutations from pollution/ poisoning that have affected their brains?

City-size comet racing toward Earth regrows 'horns' after massive volcanic eruption

PLEASE stop the click-bait headlines! I know better, but not everyone does. If people subscribe, they were already interested.

James Webb telescope spots thousands of Milky Way lookalikes that 'shouldn't exist' swarming across the early universe

"Shouldn't exist" as in we might be living in a simulation, and JWST has just seen the edges of it?

The largest asteroid impact crater on Earth is lurking beneath Australia, new evidence suggests

I think it's amazing that such an enormous asteroid impact didn't destroy the Earth! I find articles like this much more interesting than the sensation-seeking near-miss headlines that show up so much for the much smaller near-Earth fly-by events.

What is a living individual and is it naturally universally mobile?

If the consciousness of individuals is a quantum process, as I believe it is, then it is not bound by any physical laws, but by the separate laws of the quantum multiverse. It could certainly move to another habitable location elsewhere in that multiverse, IMO.

Mystery of what, or who, butchered Australian crocodile deepens following discovery of 2nd corpse

It sounds to me as if the crocodile killer, besides for being a very sick person, might have a personal grudge against the tour operator. They might be doing this to taunt and mentally abuse him. If that's the case, maybe there is a chance of finding the killer.

China discovers strange glass beads on moon that may contain billions of tons of water

To my knowledge there is no atmosphere (or soil) on the moon. Therefore liquid water could not exist there no matter what the temperature is. It would evaporate the moment it reached the surface. If the spherules really do contain water, it could be collected & extracted in a pressurized...
